Jessica and Dennis wanted to wait until fall for their Boise engagement session, and I was thrilled with that choice! What we didn’t expect is that the one day we had planned was the coldest day we’ve had yet! Jessica was such a trooper in her dress, so you can’t even tell!

These two are so adorable and were so fun to photograph! The way they laugh together and joke around together made me light up behind the camera. It is so fun as a photographer to have a couple who interacts so well! It makes my job so easy!

When I’m not super busy photographing weddings in Boise, McCall and Sun Valley, Idaho I love to sneak beautiful sessions such as maternity, family, seniors and even branding sessions for professionals. This maternity session is very special to me because it is one of my dearest friends. Claire is a phenomenal calligrapher in Boise, Idaho. She has done a lot of the invitation suites for my couples in the past and has even done some art pieces for me personally. Where can I even begin this post!? Karli and David have so easily won their way into my heart. It all began a year ago when David sent me a private message saying that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Karli and he wanted me to be the one to capture it! I felt so honored and so excited, but man on man were my nerves going crazy! Not only did David and I come up with a huge white lie about me photographing an engagement shoot for a magazine feature, to get Karli photoshoot ready without suspicion, but I knew how important this was to both of them and I wanted it to be perfect! Their proposal led to engagement photographs, which I was yet again blessed to partake in! We ended up finding the most amazing day I’ve ever seen in Boise! It was still winter, but the day was oddly warm! We started at Java in Hyde Park. Coffee dates were a fun part of their dating life, so I wanted to embrace that! We had all sunshine and gorgeous light! We then headed 20 minutes up the mountain to Bogus Basin and photographed the rest of the session in the snow! If you didn’t know any better, you’d think part of the session was photographed in the early summer and the other portion in winter. We totally lucked out! After a year of planning, we finally made it to the big day! I was so excited for their wedding because of how much of their love story I had already been a part of. In some ways the wedding was our grande finale. I know how much love and effort Karli had been putting into the design of her wedding, so I knew it was going to be gorgeous!

Chris and ShaeLee’s Chateau de Fleurs wedding in Eagle, Idaho was one for the books! ShaeLee did everything she could to make sure that this event was not only absolutely stunning, but also the most fun you’ve ever seen! The dance floor was so full of laughs and rocking moves for over three hours! Plus, get this…ShaeLee had a hippo mascot come out and surprise her new husband, Chris, on the dance floor! You might be thinking, “Why a hippo!?” The newlywed couple owns a company called The Happy Hippo and work together to make the company successful.

I don't even know where to start with this one other than to say, "Ya'll are going to lose your minds over this one!" So many of the details from Sammi Jo and Clay's wedding made this wedding unforgettable.  First of all, the wedding was held at Sammi's family's farm on the Prairie outside of Winchester, Idaho. With Mason Butte as their background, the two cut an aisle way out of wheat and completely transformed a machinery shed for their reception space. The transformation was unbelievable! Every detail was thought of from the family grown flowers, to the beautiful chandeliers, to the family cooked desserts. I wish you could have all seen it in person.

Cortney and Van seriously were one of the most fun couples I've ever been around.  We all arrived in Cabo San Lucas a few days before their wedding.  We stayed at Sandos Finisterra resort in Los Cabos. The resort was awesome! I highly suggest it if you are looking for an all inclusive getaway!  

From the moment they arrived, Cortney and Van were the life of the party!  They were so accommodating to all their family and friends.  Cortney created the cutest welcome bags for their guests, which instantly set the mood for a great time! The rehearsal was quick and easy, so we all headed straight to a pool party!  You will see images from the pool party below. Seriously, so much fun!

To say this couple is near and dear to my heart is an understatement.  Kasey, my husband, has always been close with his cousin Logan.  At all the family functions we would get to spend time Logan and him and Kasey would laugh for hours.  After a few years of it being just Logan, we were so excited when there all of a sudden was a Hannah.  We had heard about Hannah through social media, but meeting her in person was so much better! Hannah fit right into the family, like she had always been a part of it.  I was so honored when Hannah and Logan asked me to be their wedding and engagement photographer and couldn't wait to meet up in McCall, Idaho to take their engagement photographs.

Early one morning in October, we ventured to Positano, Italy to visit the famous beach and to take some portraits.  Seeing the beach in Positano empty is nearly impossible, which is what makes these images even more special to me.  Yes, we woke up at 5:00am to do these, and yes it was October, but I swear the stars aligned for us!  These images will always be some of my favorites and I will cherish them forever.
