Sherri + Artie // McCall Idaho Destination Wedding // Sneak Peek
Isn't it amazing how small the world truly is? At least that's the case for Sherri and Artie. They grew up apart with Sherri in New York and Artie in DC and met through mutual friends in college. Because of their careers, they carried a long distance relationship for what felt like far too long. As far as they were apart, they stayed closer than ever.
Over their dating relationship they learned that they had a strange coincidence. Both families had homes in a very small town in Idaho called McCall! So here's where the world gets smaller and smaller. How funny is it to think that as children Sherri and Artie could have been in McCall, Idaho at the exact same time? Sounds like a movie, right?
Much like a movie, every detail of Sherri and Artie's wedding was perfect...and I cannot wait to share it with you.
As always, I love to share the story of how the two were proposed, so without further ado here is Sherri and Artie's love story:
Artie decided to propose to Sherri at one of her favorite places - her family cottage on one of the finger lakes in upstate New York. Her parents were there and had been plotting the engagement plan with Artie. The morning after Sherri and Artie arrived at the lake, Artie got up and went out to the dock and he knew Sherri would follow him. She did, and he nervously made small talk until Sherri asked, "Why are you acting weird?". Then he got down on one knee and proposed, with Sherri's parents witnessing from the cottage. Friends of Sherri's arrived later that afternoon, and the spent the day and night celebrating, playing games, and talking about a wedding on another lake - in Idaho!
