Hello there!
My name is Brie. I am a wife, a photographer, and a dog mom to a toy Australian Shepherd named Scarlett. On most days you can find me drinking a morning cup of coffee, burying my head into a new book and chasing fleeting, golden light through the evening. When we are not seeing the world together, my husband and I spend our time in Mountain Home, Idaho, managing our two coffee shops — Brie’sta Coffee Company est. in 2013!
Growing up I was taught to be strong and resilient while simultaneously embracing my feminine side. At a very young age, I fell in love with dance as an art form. However, ballet shoes and stage lights never kept me from getting my knees scuffed up with the boys from time to time. You see, my dad used to coach a baseball team in my hometown, and it didn’t take long for me to convince him that I would be the perfect addition to the field. Being an athlete taught me to be structured and strategic while ballet taught me to let go.
Expressing my thoughts and dreams through movement allowed me to tap into the truest parts of myself. I pursued dance professionally through my sophomore year of college. I even auditioned for the Ballet Idaho dance company as a young woman! However, I ultimately turned down the offer so I could pursue a business degree.
I became a business owner at the age of 20. Over the years I have been challenged beyond measure. However, despite the hardships, I can easily stand here today and say that being a female entrepreneur is my greatest blessing. From employing over 50 highly caffeinated and devoted staff
members at Brie’sta Coffee Co. to being a professional film photographer for the last eight years, I have learned what it takes to build a successful brand and lead a community with heart.
Above all, despite the many hats I wear, know that being your wedding photographer is my favorite. This passion of mine has manifested into a meaningful career that I hold onto dearly. From old-world romance and natural chemistry to the properties of light itself, I am inspired by many things. However, you, and the story you have yet to tell, will always take precedent. My goal as your wedding photographer is to provide you with an unforgettable experience while simultaneously capturing your happiest of moments that will never fail to bring you back to yourself and the people that matter the most.
