David + Karli // Surprise Proposal // Idaho Engagement Photographer

I met Karli and David first though Instagram.  I had put out a model request for a shoot I was doing with Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine.  They were amazing and offered to model for me, but the time that I needed them there wasn't going to work for their schedules.  We both were bummed!  

A few days later, David sent me an email telling me that he was planning on proposing to Karli and that he wanted me to capture the proposal! I was so excited, but a little nervous! This isn't the first surprise proposal I've done, but every time I still get anxious and nervous because I know what a big moment it is in their lives! 

I sent Karli a message saying that I had another magazine needing a shoot for their most recent issue.  I told her that they wanted it to be a fall themed engagement shoot. We picked out a few outfits together and then waited for Saturday! 

The shoot started out like a normal shoot. We walked around to a few spots and went through a few fun poses.  Then, near the end, we went up to a spot that overlooks the entire Boise valley.  We did just a few more images before David dropped on his knee and asked Karli to spend forever with him.  It was so precious and beautiful and I am so glad David asked me to be a part of it! 

P.S. She said yes!
