Spokane, Washington Wedding Photographer | Signe' + Nate
I recently traveled to Spokane Washington to shoot this gorgeous boho wedding!
I first met Signe' when I was around 10 years old. She was one of the leads in our production of "A Christmas Carol" and I remember thinking that she was a goddess. I would watch her from a distance and try to emulate every move of hers. I wanted to just like her in every way; her smooth confidence, her ballet talent, her perfect wardrobe, everything.
It's amazing for me to think that over the next 10 years we became best friends. She was my dance teacher, my sister, my mentor, my confidant, my partner in crime, and my closest friend. She knew me better than I even knew myself. We'd stay up all night and dance together at the dance studio and then we'd lay on the floor and I would tell her boy troubles and she'd listen so whole heartily. Then the next morning she'd let me steal her clothes and run off to school.
Like most friendships, we grew up and moved onto separate lives. We both found success in different towns and started our lives away from one another. However, the support and love never stopped. When I got married, I asked Signe' to me my maid of honor and it felt so good to get to work through another life journey together. Then, to make things even better, she got engaged a couple of months after me and we vowed to start planning our weddings together!
Signe' and Nate met in high school, and much like Signe' and my story, they found their lives going off in different directions. That was, until Signe' got a job in Nate's town and they found themselves falling in love again just like high school. The rest is history.
I am so excited for these two. Signe' and Nate are so perfect for one another! Nate and his family know just how special of a woman that Signe' is and they are so excited to have her join them in life.
Before you look through their beautiful wedding, I want to tell you about a really amazing detail! You might have noticed that Signe' is a unique name. It is french for a baby swan, which fits Signe' so well because she was an amazing ballerina and Swan Lake was one of her favorites. Signe's mom, Kim, handmade her dress for her wedding and if you look closely you will see that Kim added wings to the back of the dress! It was the perfect detail to top off an amazing wedding!
