Man, oh man. I cannot even think of where to begin with these two! I guess I should first tell you how they met; wait for it, at flight school! That’s right, they’re both helicopter pilots! I must say, Keaton’s helicopter can fit inside of Jessica’s, and we won’t let him live it down. Their careers have been very demanding of both of them as of late, so they haven’t been together as much as they’d hope. It is all of our hope that soon they will get to spend more time together!Read More
Cory and Andi visited Idaho for a week to plan their McCall, Idaho wedding and they set aside time to do their engagement session while they were here. It was so much fun to get to know these two during their engagement session. It was especially important because I am photographing their wedding this summer!Read More
I think it’s only fair to start this blog by saying, “But first, coffee.” Kya and I met first when she became a regular customer at our coffee shop. She would always get the same drink- an iced white chocolate americano with cream. Her smiling face and familiar order at my drive-thru window became one of my favorite morning traditions- especially during the school year, as Kya is a teacher. Kya’s order became such a regular thing that even Daniel memorized it!Read More
Brooke and Sam stole my heart. I won’t lie! Just look at these two. So madly in love with one another. They also are a couple who takes on the world together. Sam’s mom told a story during the wedding that she thought at one point in high school the two should go separate ways and focus on their own futures, but the two knew that their futures would not be complete without one another. It’s been a beautiful love story ever since. I cannot wait for you to see these sneaks from their wedding and see just what I’m talking about, so go ahead, start scrolling!Read More
When I’m not super busy photographing weddings in Boise, McCall and Sun Valley, Idaho I love to sneak beautiful sessions such as maternity, family, seniors and even branding sessions for professionals. This maternity session is very special to me because it is one of my dearest friends. Claire is a phenomenal calligrapher in Boise, Idaho. She has done a lot of the invitation suites for my couples in the past and has even done some art pieces for me personally. Her style is so beautiful and she continues to blow me away every time I see a new work of hers.Read More
I first met Amy and Justin in the winter, as they both snuck away from pharmacy school during a small break. To say these two are busy is an understatement! They have both been working so hard on their careers as pharmacists, I’m surprised they even found a free second to get married! Thank goodness they did, because it was stunning!Read More
Where can I even begin this post!? Karli and David have so easily won their way into my heart. It all began a year ago when David sent me a private message saying that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Karli and he wanted me to be the one to capture it! I felt so honored and so excited, but man on man were my nerves going crazy! Not only did David and I come up with a huge white lie about me photographing an engagement shoot for a magazine feature, to get Karli photoshoot ready without suspicion, but I knew how important this was to both of them and I wanted it to be perfect! You can read more about their proposal and see the images by clicking here.
Their proposal led to engagement photographs, which I was yet again blessed to partake in! We ended up finding the most amazing day I’ve ever seen in Boise! It was still winter, but the day was oddly warm! We started at Java in Hyde Park. Coffee dates were a fun part of their dating life, so I wanted to embrace that! We had all sunshine and gorgeous light! We then headed 20 minutes up the mountain to Bogus Basin and photographed the rest of the session in the snow! If you didn’t know any better, you’d think part of the session was photographed in the early summer and the other portion in winter. We totally lucked out! Check out their engagement photographs here.
After a year of planning, we finally made it to the big day! I was so excited for their wedding because of how much of their love story I had already been a part of. In some ways the wedding was our grande finale. I know how much love and effort Karli had been putting into the design of her wedding, so I knew it was going to be gorgeous!Read More
Matt and Alecia’s wedding was seriously one of the sweetest and most emotional weddings I’ve ever photographed! You guys just wait until you see these sneak peeks! I made it to the first look before I started crying. The rest of the day was just one tearful moment to the next!Read More
This wedding will forever go down as one of the most special I’ve ever photographed. I’m biased of course, but can you imagine photographing a wedding where your grandad is officiating, your cousin and his dream girl are pledging their lives to one another, and you get to see two genuinely amazing families become one. Such a dream!Read More
Chris and ShaeLee’s Chateau de Fleurs wedding in Eagle, Idaho was one for the books! ShaeLee did everything she could to make sure that this event was not only absolutely stunning, but also the most fun you’ve ever seen! The dance floor was so full of laughs and rocking moves for over three hours! Plus, get this…ShaeLee had a hippo mascot come out and surprise her new husband, Chris, on the dance floor! You might be thinking, “Why a hippo!?” The newlywed couple owns a company called The Happy Hippo and work together to make the company successful.
Isn't it amazing how small the world truly is? At least that's the case for Sherri and Artie. They grew up apart with Sherri in New York and Artie in DC and met through mutual friends in college. Because of their careers, they carried a long distance relationship for what felt like far too long. As far as they were apart, they stayed closer than ever.
I don't even know where to start with this one other than to say, "Ya'll are going to lose your minds over this one!" So many of the details from Sammi Jo and Clay's wedding made this wedding unforgettable. First of all, the wedding was held at Sammi's family's farm on the Prairie outside of Winchester, Idaho. With Mason Butte as their background, the two cut an aisle way out of wheat and completely transformed a machinery shed for their reception space. The transformation was unbelievable! Every detail was thought of from the family grown flowers, to the beautiful chandeliers, to the family cooked desserts. I wish you could have all seen it in person.Read More
I hope you are all ready to "Party Like a Carlton" because these sweet love birds are so fun! Rikki and Jake have a special place in my heart...because we are both huge Patriot's fans! :P Okay, okay, truth is they are an amazing couple who was so much fun to be around. I just think that the fact they are Patriot's fans is an awesome bonus!
They held their wedding at the rodeo grounds in Lewiston, Idaho on June 23rd of this year. The entire day was a party with friends and family, which made the day so much fun for everyone!Read More
Chloe and Jordan were married at the gorgeous Fourth Street Gardens in Emmett, Idaho during their annual cherry festival. Their colors and theme embodied the cherry festival perfectly! I love that they honored the season, but did it in their own way!Read More
Cortney and Van seriously were one of the most fun couples I've ever been around. We all arrived in Cabo San Lucas a few days before their wedding. We stayed at Sandos Finisterra resort in Los Cabos. The resort was awesome! I highly suggest it if you are looking for an all inclusive getaway!
From the moment they arrived, Cortney and Van were the life of the party! They were so accommodating to all their family and friends. Cortney created the cutest welcome bags for their guests, which instantly set the mood for a great time! The rehearsal was quick and easy, so we all headed straight to a pool party! You will see images from the pool party below. Seriously, so much fun!Read More
Trail Creek Cabin is by far one of my favorite wedding venues in Idaho! Sun Valley holds a beauty that is unparalleled in so many ways. Because most Sun Valley weddings are destination weddings, guests get to come visit the beauty of the mountain town and stay awhile to explore all that is to offer.Read More
In perfect timing of the Kentucky Derby, Hailey and Pete tied the knot in Boise at Hillcrest Country Club. Their theme was not only classy, but it was timeless! I loved Hailey's choice of a classic green and white bouquet done by the fabulous Rust & Thistle Floral. Hailey, the bride, thought through every detail of her wedding and you could see that shine through on the day!Read More
I first met Karli and David on Instagram when I asked my followers if anyone would be willing to model for me for a shoot for Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine. Karli responded quickly and I got so excited! The only issue was that our schedules didn't line up, so we had to postpone our shoot together. A few days later David sent me an email saying that he was wanting to propose to Karli and he knew it was important to her to have me photograph the moment! The plans to make it a surprise, but still get great images was pretty stressful! You can read the full story and see the images here!Read More
To say this couple is near and dear to my heart is an understatement. Kasey, my husband, has always been close with his cousin Logan. At all the family functions we would get to spend time Logan and him and Kasey would laugh for hours. After a few years of it being just Logan, we were so excited when there all of a sudden was a Hannah. We had heard about Hannah through social media, but meeting her in person was so much better! Hannah fit right into the family, like she had always been a part of it. I was so honored when Hannah and Logan asked me to be their wedding and engagement photographer and couldn't wait to meet up in McCall, Idaho to take their engagement photographs.Read More
Early one morning in October, we ventured to Positano, Italy to visit the famous beach and to take some portraits. Seeing the beach in Positano empty is nearly impossible, which is what makes these images even more special to me. Yes, we woke up at 5:00am to do these, and yes it was October, but I swear the stars aligned for us! These images will always be some of my favorites and I will cherish them forever.Read More
